This tabla has is made of the finest quality shishum wood and has a head crafted by one of the best makers in Calcutta. We do our best to have a continual supply of drums from Mridangam, Shyamal, Mukta Das and others. Calcutta heads are thinner than Bombay heads, so at their best they have a bell-like tone and long sustain.
